My name is Jenna Svoboda and I’m so excited to be teaching 2nd grade at Bransford Elementary for the 2019 - 2020 school year! This will be my 7th year teaching! Prior to coming to GCISD, I taught 1st grade at North Elementary in White Settlement ISD. I grew up near San Diego, California and later graduated from Texas Christian University. I fell in love with Texas and decided to make it my home. Teaching is a true passion of mine and I am thrilled to have your children in my classroom! I want to make a difference in the lives of my students and inspire them to find the joy in learning. It is important to me that my classroom environment is engaging, supportive and fun.

In June 2019, I got married to Ben Svoboda. We bought a house in Grapevine and we love our wonderful Golden Retriever named Maverick. I love to travel as much as I can. I have been to several countries in Europe, Belize, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Nashville. I hope to visit lots of islands in the Caribbean soon. I'm always reading and love recommendations and talking about the books I read.

I feel so fortunate to teach at an arts integration school. Our school allows kids to create bravely. I grew up playing the piano and love seeing the kids learn to play in the piano lab. I expanded my understanding of the arts when I was able to attend the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.

I believe this year is going to be such a terrific school year. I can’t wait to meet each of my students and their families and be part of the Bransford Elementary family!
