4th and 5th Grade Students
BES Ambassador
Elections Are Here!
Friday, September 16th
What is an Ambassador?
Being an ambassador provides students the opportunity to demonstrate leadership and apply it to real world experiences that have a direct effect on both BES and the community. Students make a commitment to lead by example, demonstrate respect and responsibility, and engage in service by using effective communication, relationship building, and leadership skills. Ambassadors will represent BES and help in planning and participating in exciting events for the school year like:
Campus beautification
Boo Pop Sales
Valentine Grams
Career Day
Food & Clothing Drives
Red Ribbon Week & More!
Students wishing to become an ambassador in grades 4 & 5 may “campaign” to represent their homeroom. In order to campaign and be eligible for running students will need to:
* Fill out THIS application
* Prepare and present a short campaign speech to their homeroom class on Friday,September 16th
* Create ONE campaign advertisement to be hung in the hallway the week of elections.
* Advertisements must be school appropriate and refrain from referencing personal political opinions. Students may NOT pass out anything to other students.
* BES students will then experience the voting process and vote using a Google form to elect two students from their homeroom. Those elected will be announced the afternoon of the election on Friday, September 16th. Ambassadors must attend meetings that will be held after school. We will meet one Thursday every month, maybe more as needed, from 3:00-4:00 in Mrs. Perkins’ room.
